Is the COVID-19 vaccine safe to get during pregnancy? Justin Brandt, a maternal-fetal physician, has some answers.
Pregnant women—considered to be at high risk for complications if they contract COVID-19—were not included in clinical trials for the current vaccines, leaving many confused over whether or not they should be vaccinated.
Brandt is an assistant professor in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and director of quality and safety for the department of OB/GYN.
